The implementation of Building Infrastructure (PBG) in Medan City has an important role in supporting the development of quality, structured, and sustainable city infrastructure. This study aims to evaluate the contribution of PBG in the growth and development of infrastructure in the city of Medan and the obstacles faced in its implementation. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection through interviews and document analysis related to PBG regulations in Medan City. The results of the study show that PBG contributes significantly to improving the quality of infrastructure, supporting the development of orderly urban areas, and creating a safe and comfortable environment. However, there are still obstacles in terms of suboptimal supervision, limited human resources, and slow bureaucracy. For this reason, it is necessary to increase supervisory capacity, use technology in the licensing process, and stricter law enforcement to maximize the potential of PBG in supporting better city development.
