Abstract

The safety of medical personnel from physical and psychological threats is an important issue in the implementation of quality and sustainable health services. The Health Law in Indonesia provides a legal basis to protect medical personnel so that they can work safely and be protected from these various risks. However, the effectiveness of the implementation of this regulation in practice in the field still requires an in-depth study to determine the level of protection that is truly felt by medical personnel. This study uses a descriptive analysis method with a documentation study approach and data collection from various primary sources such as legal documents, incident reports, and the results of related literature reviews. Through this method, the study systematically describes how the Health Law is applied to ensure the physical and psychological safety of medical personnel and the factors that affect the effectiveness of its implementation. The results of the analysis show that the Health Law has become an important and fundamental legal umbrella in the protection of medical personnel. However, there are a number of obstacles in its implementation, including the lack of socialization of medical personnel and the community, limited resources in supervision, and the mechanism for handling incidents that are not optimal. This results in the safety of medical personnel from physical and psychological threats that are not fully guaranteed in accordance with regulatory expectations. Therefore, this study recommends increasing the intensity of socialization of the Health Law, strengthening supervision and law enforcement mechanisms, and providing supporting facilities such as security training and psychosocial support services for medical personnel. Thus, it is hoped that the protection of medical personnel can be effective and the health work environment will be safer and more conducive.
