Development Of E-Learning Learning Model For High School Level Using CMS Moodle

Abstract

Moodle-based e-learning media is a software package that works for internet-based learning activities and websites. This media is in the form of a web page that has a feature to present courses where teachers can upload teaching materials, learning videos, powerpoint presentations, discussion forums, and quizzes related to special journal materials in it. This research aims to develop an effective e-learning learning model for the Senior High School (SLTA) level by utilizing the Moodle learning management system (CMS). In today's digital era, the use of technology in education has become a must to improve student engagement and learning outcomes. This research began with a needs analysis involving teachers and students to identify the challenges and potential uses of e-learning in the high school environment. Furthermore, the proposed learning model is designed based on the principles of active and collaborative learning, as well as the integration of Moodle features such as discussion forums, quizzes, and online assignments. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Model trials were conducted in several high schools, and data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The results of the study show that the developed e-learning model can increase students' learning motivation and facilitate better interaction between students and teachers. In addition, feedback from users shows that Moodle as an e-learning platform provides ease of access to materials and task management.
