Abstract

This study examines how emotional intelligence influences work-life balance, mediated by job satisfaction, in the context of healthcare workers at Puskesmas Tanah Tinggi Binjai. Employing a quantitative approach and using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), data were gathered from 80 employees using a census technique. The results indicate that emotional intelligence significantly affects job satisfaction, which in turn has a positive influence on work-life balance. Emotional intelligence also has an indirect effect on work-life balance via job satisfaction. These findings emphasize the importance of emotional development programs in enhancing well-being and productivity in healthcare settings.
