Analysis of Work Climate and Organizational Culture on Teacher Performance with Job Satisfaction as an Intervening Variable at SMP Negeri 1 Pintu Rime Gayo Bener Meriah

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of work climate and organizational culture on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 1 Pintu Rime Gayo, Bener Meriah Regency, with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. Recognizing the critical role of teacher performance in educational quality, the research emphasizes the importance of a supportive work environment. A positive work climate enhances teacher productivity and well-being, while a strong organizational culture fosters effective communication and collaboration. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 81 teachers through questionnaires, with analysis performed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that both work climate and organizational culture significantly affect teacher performance, mediated by job satisfaction. Specifically, a conducive work environment and robust organizational culture not only improve job satisfaction but also lead to enhanced teacher performance. The study contributes to the understanding of how these factors interact, providing valuable insights for educational management. By focusing on improving work climate, organizational culture, and job satisfaction, schools can develop strategies to boost teacher performance, ultimately leading to better educational outcomes for students.
