The Integrated Assessment Team (TAT) is a mechanism formed to provide recommendations for handling suspects suspected of being narcotics abusers, through collaboration between medical and legal elements. The operational procedures for TAT at the Langkat Regency National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) are carried out in systematic stages, starting from the submission of an assessment request by investigators, administrative examinations, to the implementation of an integrated assessment involving a team of doctors, psychologists, and law enforcement officials. The results of the assessment are outlined in the form of recommendations, whether the suspect is more appropriate to receive medical and social rehabilitation, or continue to be processed through legal channels. The implementation of this procedure aims to ensure proportionate, humane handling, and in accordance with the provisions of the law, especially Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. With the existence of TAT, it is hoped that narcotics abusers in the Langkat Regency area will receive appropriate treatment, both in terms of health and legal aspects, as well as support efforts to prevent and eradicate narcotics more effectively.
